Independent Medical Examinations are
performed by credentialed physicians, rather than the
treating medical provider, in order to establish an informed
medical expert opinion on the validity & nature of a
diagnosis.
In preparation, all medical records
are collected and questions prepared for the IME physician
medical examiner to ensure all the relevant issues are
addressed.
If it comes to arbitration or
litigation, then medical legal expert testimony by IME
physicians offers an informed evidence based opinion about
the questions of a case.
